PRESS RELEASE

Local True Value store and the True Value Foundation team-up to deliver unexpected funds to Willow Springs FFA students.

Last month, Waggoner True Value Home Center of Willow Springs, MO partnered with the True Value Foundation’s gift matching program, YouthUp, to provide funds to an organization in need. This year, True Value’s YouthUp Gift Matching was doubled during the month of November.

Waggoner True Value gifted $250.00 to the Willow Springs FFA—which was then doubled through YouthUp, giving the Willow Springs FFA organization a total of $750.00. According to Paul Waggoner, True Value Store Owner, the Willow Springs FFA was chosen based on their commitment to serve the community.

FFA Advisor, Shiloh Walden says the funds were an unexpected surprise and that the donation will be put to good use through purchasing supplies and equipment. True Value Foundation President, Brent Burger says, “We’ve created YouthUp Matching Gifts to direct funds to our communities and have a greater impact on helping kids succeed. Together with our Retailers, we can have a collective impact to strengthen our communities and local economies.” Waggoner True Value Home Center plans to partner with YouthUp annually to help youth-focused groups in the area.
